Chokoloskee - Saltwater Fishing Report

Although the cold still has it's GRIP on us here, the fishing has started to pick up when it comes to the Snook Bite.

Jared with a Backcountry snook

On a 1/2 day charter we caught 10 snook on fly with many strip strikes that missed a hook up.
They were not Giants but at lease their a few still around.
I'll be calling Mote Marine this week and see if I could pressure them into releasing yearlings once the weather warms up in the Backcountry.
Their are pleanty of reds, trout, ladyfish and sheepheads on the gulf side, along with a few tripletails, and pompano.
Tight Lines,
